Volunteer to put on another amazing Community Mural Paint Day by Community Murals Sacramento! Community Murals Sacramento is an innovate, year long program in which local teams of professional muralists work with schools, houses of worship and business associations to develop a mural design that reflects the local values. Then we have a Community Mural Paint Day - a free, family friendly festival offering a Paint-By-Number opportunity to help paint the mural. The day features music, vendors, food trucks and and additional art activities. We need your help to put this event on!
2 shifts are available:
10:30 am - 3:30 pm: Set up + Event
11:30 - 3:00 pm: Event Only
Event Roles:
- Registration Table Help: Help sign in the registered attendees
- Art Table: Help Matthew Goodwin Art Scholarship Program provide free painting activities for kids. You would help kids get set up with their paint sets and paper.
- Rock Painting Art Table: Staff the table and help kids with paintpens, keep the table tidy, and facilitate the rock painting activity.
- Paint Table Support: Work side by side with the Muralists at the Artist Table! Clean brushes that people return to the table, hand out paint cups,

Description
Community Murals Sacramento is a pilot program through the Office of Arts and Culture. We partner established and emerging muralists with neighborhood groups to collaboratively design a mural around neighborhood values and identity. Once designed, we hold a a Community Mural Paint Day, inviting the public to help paint the mural in a Paint by Number style. The Community Mural Paint Day has music, free food, community groups and additional art activities, all free to the public.
