Recruiting Organization: Lenox Hill Neighborhood House

Lenox Hill Neighborhood House is a 128-year-old settlement house widely recognized as one of New York's premiere human services providers. Founded in 1894 as a free kindergarten for immigrant children, the Neighborhood House now serves 16,000 people in need each year through a wide array of effective and integrated services--social, educational legal, housing, mental health and fitness.

We are seeking volunteers with a friendly demeanor, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to multi-task to staff the reception desk of our busy Senior Center, which provides a variety of activities, programs and services for older adults. Volunteers will be responsible for answering questions from Center members about activities, checking members in for meals, answering phones and other light clerical tasks.

Opportunities are available for the following shifts: weekdays, 9:30am-12:30pm or 3:00pm-5:30pm or weekends, 9:30am-12:30pm.
