The Santa Fe Children's Museum offers regular weekly programs and special events overflowing with experiential, inquiry-based hands-on activities that align with New Mexico State Curriculum Standards. Our programs are all designed to offer science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) activities that build upon a child’s natural sense of joy and discovery. We encourage and cultivate habits of inquiry about the world, how things work, and promote plenty of FUN!
Fine Art Friday is a weekly exploration of the arts, including sculpture, pottery, painting, printmaking, and much more. This event often features local and indigenous artists as special guests!
Fine Art Friday runs every Friday afternoon from 2 - 4 PM featuring different types of fine art. Our mission is to make art accessible and fun for all children and show children that they are all capable of being fine artists.

Description
The children's museum is a discovery-based learning center for children and families of all ages with interactive exhibits including bubble-making, a wind tunnel, and ongoing art and science programs both indoors and out. The museum's outdoor area, the Backyard, has a community garden, a community of fairies, a sand pit, musical instruments, and a much more to explore. Children and visitors also have the chance to see live animals including two snakes, a lizard, and a turtle!
