The Program Coordinators are the liaison between our Coaches and the Executive Committee (administration and planning committee). There are two people who hold this role, and jobs are shared. They represent our sports program coaches to ensure each program has everything it needs to run successfully - including uniforms, practice venues, equipment, competition opportunities, and additional sports education and leadership development opportunities. The Program Coordinators also assist in the placing of new volunteers to ensure they find the right position in our organization that best suits their skills and knowledge.

* Special Olympics is more than an event - Special Olympics BC delivers year-round highquality sport programs to people with intellectual disabilities daily in throughout our province. Our programs cater to all ages and a wide range of abilities. Our programs provide year-round sport and training programs for a wide range of ability levels, and opportunities to participate in local, regional, national, and international competitions.
* Special Olympics believes that people with intellectual disabilities can, and will, succeed when given the opportunity. Special Olympics uses the transformative power and joy of sport to reveal the full potential of athletes with intellectual disabilities.
Special Olympics programs help instill confidence, self-esteem and other life skills in athletes, contribute to healthier athletes with lifelong physical fitness habits, change attitudes and create a more inclusive society. Special Olympics programs are delivered by trained coaches and dedicated volunteers.

- Varies throughout the year. There is one 1 hour board meeting per month, and then approximately 10 hours per month.
- Enthusiastically support our mission, our Coaches and our Athletes to reach their potential. Good organizational and problem solving skills. Community minded, and helpful to have contacts in the sports community in our City.
