Montgomery Parks is in search of bilingual volunteers to support our Spring Picnic event on Sunday, May 22nd at Long Branch-Arliss Neighborhood Park from 1-4 PM.
This event, part of the Long Branch Parks Initiative, will offer family friendly activities in Spanish & English. We'll need help with set up, community engagement, coordinating the activities, and cleanup/take down.
Interested in volunteering? You can sign up for a 2.5 hour shift at our website:
Shift A is from 12:00-2:30 PM
Shift B is from 2:00-4:30 PM

SSL hours:
This opportunity is eligible for SSL hour credit. Volunteers must be 16 & up.

Description
Our agency is located just north of Washington D.C., and was originally created to protect the stream valleys around the D.C. area. We have grown into a 34,000 acre park system with over 400 local, urban and regional parks; recreation centers; ballfields; playgrounds; nature centers, a botanic garden and over 200 miles of trails.
