Seeking compassionate volunteers to serve our Care Center’s Hospice patients in Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, and Mercer Counties to provide comfort and dignity at the end of life while truly enjoying the story of each patient, supporting families, and educating the community.
Provide any of the following based on YOUR personal preference:
* Supportive phone calls to caregiver and/or patients.
* In-person volunteers to engage with patients in activities such as gardening, crafts, puzzles, cooking,
watching tv/sports, and simply sitting to enjoy a cup of coffee or prayer time.
* Facility volunteers to assist in planning and engaging in organized activities and individual visits.
* Administrative volunteers to assist with office organization, filing, answering phones, mailings.
* Professional services such as hair styling, reiki, massage, art therapy, pet therapy, music therapy.
* Community collaborations for special projects welcome.
* INTERNS WELCOME, with clinical, social work (BSW and MSW), and administrative paths of study.

- Flexibility of schedule and no minimum time commitment, although 3 hours per month is the minimum recommendation at this time to appropriately maintain engagement and mutual benefit.
