Responsibilities
This position inspects the physical property (building and land) to assure compliance with the building codes governing building trades such as electrical, structural, energy efficiency, radon control, and heating/ventilation/air conditioning. Also identifies needed repairs, prioritizing when necessary.
This position interacts with local building officials as well as contractors regarding code compliance, plan review, and inspection requirements, as well as gathering estimates to complete the identified work.
Oversight of initiated work is performed reporting any issues, delays, or over budget concerns.
Position reports to the Director, from whom specific assignments and general direction is received.
