Job Description
Adventure Camp/ Earth Camp volunteers will assist with seasonal camp personnel in performing tasks and functions within their program and/or facilitate in certain projects from time to time.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Arts and crafts
- Recreational activities
- Logistical support
- Directing beginning and end of day traffic
- Runner/floater
Requirements
Working with children will require a background check for volunteers over the age of 18. Most activities will take place outside in summer conditions, so appropriate clothing and protective gear will be necessary. Volunteers wanting to facilitate their own program must provide a fully developed lesson plan with details of their program and how it is to be implemented, which is subject to approval by the volunteer coordinator.
Training
Training for specific programs will be provided by the camp manager with the assistance of camp counselors to whom the volunteer is assigned to assist.
