ORGANIZATION: South Coast Botanic Garden Foundation

Volunteers will be working with an Arboretum Gardener to assist with maintenance of the planted sections of the Garden. Work may include hand watering, weeding, deadheading, pruning, and planting. Seasonal projects may also include soil building and application of amendments and mulches. Volunteers will be asked to work with hand tools. Volunteers may be doing frequent squatting, bending, and some lifting. Volunteer shifts are on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 8AM-11AM and Wednesday from 12PM-3PM

Description

Our active volunteers play a large role in the ongoing success at South Coast Botanic Garden. As a volunteer, you represent our institution and forward our mission by connecting all to the wonders of nature. Through outreach and horticulture, you help create wonderful experiences for our visitors that inspire stewardship and sustainability. Per Los Angeles County guidelines, all volunteers must be at least 15 years old to participate. We require that all volunteers provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination before joining our program. We are not currently accepting any vaccination exemptions. If you are interested in volunteering with us, please follow the steps below:
