Candlelighters Family Camp is an overnight therapeutic camp for children with cancer or other hematological diagnosis and their families. Campers team up in age groups to rotate through activities at camp. All meals and accommodation are provided to volunteers. Camp is at 8000 feet so nice and cool in June. Campfire, Sing a long, Camp Fun!

Candlelighters supports, serves and advocates for children and adolescents with cancer and other blood disorders, their families, long term survivors, bereaved families, and the professionals that care for them.

*Ease frustration and fears through shared emotions and experience
*Exchange information on research, treatment and community resources
*Break down the social and isolation of families
*Provide guidance in coping with childhood cancer's effect on a child, parent, siblings, and family
*Identify patient and family needs so that medical and social systems respond adequately
*Are an emotional support system of second families
Candlelighters is a voice in our community for pediatric cancer families and survivors to the general public, the medical community, government, schools, employers and the media.
