Recruiting Organization: Community Emergency Service

Many of our neighbors are home-bound and unable to get the nourishment they need. Through this collaborative effort our Home Delivery program provides essential groceries to seniors in need.

Through generous donations, CES offers clients the food and the volunteer power to "shop" for our clients in the food pantry based off of client requests. After packing up the groceries, the volunteer then delivers the bags directly to the client. Each client receives a delivery once a month. Clients reside in South and North Minneapolis.

The deliveries occur Tuesday and Thursday from 1pm-3pm. Volunteers can commit to once a week, twice a month or monthly. If delivering monthly, we ask for a minimum of a 6 month commitment. This allows the volunteer to create a greater bond with the client who is often quite isolated and lonely.

All volunteers are required to wear a mask and abide by social distancing when delivering the groceries at the door.
