Recruiting Organization: Oregon Health Authority, Pharmacy Policy & Programs

Oregon's Mental Health Clinical Advisory Group is an 18-member interdisciplinary volunteer group that develops evidence-based algorithms for mental health treatments, including treatments with mental health drugs and makes recommendations to the Oregon Health Authority's Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee on:

  • Implementation of evidence-based algorithms.
  • Any changes needed to any preferred drug list used by the authority.
  • Practice guidelines for the treatment of mental health disorders with mental health drugs.
  • Coordinating the work of the group with an entity that offers a psychiatric advice hotline.

Oregon's Mental Health Clinical Advisory Group has immediate openings for 2 licensed clinical psychologist members. Additionally, the MHCAG accepts applications for all seats on an ongoing basis and will reach out to those who have submitted applications when a vacancy is anticipated.

The OHA and MHCAG are committed to seating members who are truly representative of Oregon’s diverse population to ensure these perspectives are heard and integrated into committee, group and policy-making decisions.

  • Each appointment is for up to 3 years
  • Meetings are 50 minutes long and there are 2 meetings held every-other-month (e.g. 2 meetings in January, no meetings in February, 2 meetings in March)
  • For the foreseeable future, meetings are held virtually. Should there be an in-person meeting, a virtual option will be provided. We encourage applicants from frontier/rural areas!

Please submit an application today if you hold an unencumbered professional license for the positions mentioned below!
