Title: Collections Care
Reports to: Collections Manager
Hours: 4+ hours a week (Varies)
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Physical requirements: Lifting 20lb boxes, squatting, folding, climbing step stools, lifting artwork.
What you will be doing: Supporting the care of the Permanent Collection includes the following duties:
- Storing and packing quilts for long term storage
- Accessioning new objects coming in to the collection
- Packing objects for travel
- Processing objects on loan for upcoming exhibitions
- Sewing on quilt sleeves
- Working in the database
You will be great for this role if: You are good working with others in a team setting, able to be physically active, are detail oriented, and enjoy working with textiles.
