Corporate/Business volunteers - we need your help in maintaining our 6.5-acre public garden! Please come join us!

Let us plan an enjoyable outdoor volunteer experience for your team in our beautiful public garden. Your staff will work alongside our Garden Manager helping with simple gardening tasks. We will make every effort to accommodate your desired schedule.

This is a physical activity, however we encourage lots of breaks. Our center is ADA compliant. Minors under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

Mission Statement

A trusted regional garden resource providing educational opportunities and technical expertise in the areas of horticulture, conservation, and ecology - examples of landscape styles and plants adapted to California's Mediterranean climate of hot, dry summers and cool, wet winters - habitat for wildlife, and beautiful gardens for the enjoyment of all.


The Gardens offer educational programs in gardening, ecology, and other environmentally sensitive subjects for children and adults, membership benefits, and volunteer opportunities.

  • Group


  • Must be at least 18
  • Most volunteer teams work for three to four hours in the morning to take advantage of cooler weather.
  • Volunteers are encourage to wear comfortable clothing that can get dirty, flat closed-toe shoes, sunscreen, a hat, and bring garden gloves.
