Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation (CHLDC) is a community-based not-for-profit community development corporation that offers comprehensive housing preservation, youth and family services, career and education, college success, and organizing programs. The mission of Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation is to build a strong, sustainable Cypress Hills/East New York, where youth and adults achieve educational and economic success, secure healthy and affordable housing, and develop leadership skills to transform their lives and community.

This is a great opportunity for volunteers who are looking to complete their community service hours.

  • Conduct at least 1-2 times in-person outreach on a weekly basis at food pantries, places of worship, community organizations, shopping centers, and more.
  • Distribute flyers about CHLDC services and COVID-19 vaccine information from the Department of Health
