Become a Hospice volunteer!
- Companionship-conversation, reading, writing, playing, or listening to music
- Pet therapy- certified pets are provided for comfort to patients
- caregiver Relief-providing respite for family and caregivers
- Interviewing patients and writing a 1-page Biography to help reminisce and celebrate their lives.
- Veteran support and Veteran to Veteran volunteer team.
- Licensed professional support- massage therapists, beauticians, and other.
- Office support-copying, filling, phones and admission binders
- Other opportunities, limited only by patients' needs and our imagination!
Volunteer training is provided. locations Philadelphia/Bucks county and Montgomery county.

AS AN AMEDISYS HOSPICE VOLUNTEER, YOU WILL LEND YOUR SKILLS, TALENTS AND TIME TOWARDS CARING FOR PATIENTS AT END-OF-LIFE AND ALSO FOR THEIR FAMILIES. WE BECOME A COMMUNITY OF SUPPORT FOR THOSE WHO NEED IT. WE SUPPORT THEM HOLISTICALLY, CARING FOR BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT. OUR VOLUNTEERS RECEIVE FREE TRAINING. THE MAIN FOCUS FOR VOLUNTEERS IS ON 1:1 VISITS, WITH SOME PROVIDING COMPANIONSHIP, EMOTIONAL SUPPORT, SPIRITUAL SUPPORT, MUSIC, PET THERAPY, SUPPORTIVE CALLS TO FAMILY, BIOGRAPHY WRITING, VETERAN RECOGNITION AND OTHER SUPPORTIVE EFFORTS. AMEDISYS Hospices provide specialized care and support for patients at end-of-life and their families. Volunteer opportunities listed here include ones for Willow Tree Hospice in Kennett Square, PA; Aseracare Hospice for Exton, PA; and Amedisys Hospice of Greater Philadelphia, in Media, PA and Bensalem, PA.
