The Circle of Parents program, a component of Project CATCH, offers peer support groups for parents and children, working to reduce isolation by building social connections. The program builds five Protective Factors that strengthen families, reduce stress, and improve outcomes for children: parental resilience, knowledge of parenting and child development, understanding the social and emotional development of children, connecting to concrete resources in times of need, and creating social connections.

We have two sites that offer both weekly virtual parent and children’s groups: the Salvation Army shelter and Passage Home transitional housing. The free, structured children’s groups provide a safe and supportive environment for kids to develop social and emotional skills.

We are currently looking for volunteers for our community outings. Volunteers are needed once a month, usually the last week of the month, in the evening. Our outings are usually somewhere between 5pm-8pm. Volunteers will assist with setting up, engaging with and getting to know the children and families, facilitating activities, and cleaning up.

We are in the process of returning to regular, weekly in-person meetings. Our tentative start date will be in August. Stay tuned!
