Recruiting Organization: BoBCAT (Borough of Brooklyn Center for Arts and Technology)

Skills: Some fundraising experience, a plus

Requirements:

· 18+ years of age

· 15+ hours per week (Monday - Friday), occasional weekends


Fundraising volunteer description:

  • Assist Development Consultant in identifying and pursuing individual, institutional, and government funders
  • Play a key role in grant prospecting research (foundations and corporations)
  • Play a key role in compiling profiles on high-net-worth prospective donors
  • Assist with writing grant proposals and reports
  • Assist with planning and executing fundraising events
  • Conduct research to identify recent statistics on workforce development and poverty to be used in grant proposals and on website
  • Work with Communications department to carry out online fundraising initiatives via Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and TikTok
  • Design and carry out a crowdfunding campaign
