ORGANIZATION: Family Service Rochester

Volunteers are needed for hands-on help for our Kindergarten through 12th graders.

Activities include outdoor cooking, science, arts & crafts, yard games, and sports! We also take field trips to Chester Woods and other fun places in Minnesota. We would love to have someone who can help coordinate activities as well.

Anyone over the age of 18 is welcome and encouraged to volunteer! This is a perfect opportunity for community members, teachers, sports coaches, crafters, scientists, and adventurers of every kind!

There is flexibility in scheduling. You could sign up for one week or a single day each week as long as you're able to make a commitment that provides consistency for the kids

Mission Statement

A safe, vital community that fosters strong, healthy families and capable children.

Description

Family Service Rochester (FSR) is a community based, nonprofit organization which provides services associated with counseling, case management, home services and family access center.

FSR was founded in 1965 with a staff of three and the mission to support and enhance the dignity and quality of life for individuals and families in the community. From that small start-up offering counseling and homemaker services, the agency has grown to provide more than 25 programs to meet ever-changing community needs. Volunteers are a key aspect to excellent service delivery to those individuals and families we work with.
