ORGANIZATION: EASTSIDE COMMUNITY ACTION CENTER
Our Community Garden Project is seeking regular/weekly help throughout the growing season to keep our site well-maintained.
Each gardener cares for their individual plot, but there are many shared spaces in the garden that our dedicated volunteers maintain to make these gardens inviting spaces. Examples of tasks include
* monitoring the health of all plants
* watering and feeding plants
* trimming plants and shrubs
* fertilizing
* weeding gardens
* keeping green spaces and walkways clear of debris and litter
Hours are flexible.

ECAC exists to provide social and educational assistance to people with particular attention given to those who are vulnerable or at-risk.
ECAC was founded in 2007 to serve as a hub for charitable and educational activities benefiting the residents of Lansing, Michigan. ECAC is designed to answer the needs of vulnerable people residing in Lansing's Potter-Walsh Neighborhood, the Eastside, and surrounding areas.
