Donor Ambassadors check people into blood drives, and they also play an important role in monitoring donors after they’ve given blood. Donor Ambassadors do more than hand out juice, cookies, and thanks.
Provide excellent and enthusiastic customer service to enhance the blood donor experience. Engage with blood donors to promote blood donation and set the stage for a long-term commitment to regular blood donations. Assist donors with re-hydrating after donation and observe for post-donation reactions. Express gratitude and ensure each blood donor is sincerely thanked for their donation.
Will be located at an American Red Cross Blood Donation site on Saturdays.
All interested volunteers need to be fully vaccinated, and will also need to wear a mask during the duration of the blood drive. This is due to an Oregon and Washington mandate that states that blood drives are medical facilities
