Comfort Hospice is seeking volunteers to visit with patients during their final journey through life.
If you are a good listener or enjoy reading, writing, computers, watching TV programs or simply holding the hand of someone that needs a friend please consider becoming a hospice volunteer.
This opportunity is for a small family near Clinton Park in Houston. The volunteer matched to this household is expected to provide caregiver relief. This means accompanying the patient while the caregiver runs errands or visits the doctor. If you are skilled at light landscaping (planting, weeding, mowing, then that is an added bonus but not mandatory.)

A volunteer can make a big difference to someone that could use a friend.

Opportunities

There are several different ways that you can become involved with Harmony Caress Hospice:

  • Offering companionship and support to our patients and their family members

  • Providing assistance with clerical duties within our office

  • Assisting in our bereavement department

  • Supporting special projects behind the scenes

  • Youth Volunteers (between the ages of 14-17) may volunteer to assist with the administrative duties within our office
