Shelters to Shutters is seeking a Training & Talent Development intern who is passionate about improving the lives of individuals and families who are situationally homeless.
The internship is unpaid but can be used for college credit. The position is 5 to 12 hours/week and is 100 % remote. The candidate will need to use their own computer.
Each job responsibility must be performed with the focus and accuracy it requires. The essential knowledge, skills and abilities you need are outlined below. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the job’s essential functions.
Responsibilities:
Assist with the development of training needs assessments
- Assist with the development of training curriculum
- Assist with the administration of Learning Management System (LMS)
- Assist with the development of organizational policies and procedures
- Assist with administrative tasks of Program Participants and Volunteers
Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret all forms of information
- Knowledge of ADDIE methodology of curriculum design (Preferred)
- Ability to accept and learn from constructive feedback
- Confident, articulate, and professional speaking abilities
Computer Skills:
- Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Previous experience with Learning Management Systems (Preferred)
- Previous experience with Camtasia (Preferred)
Education:
- High School Graduate
- College Graduate seeking experience in Training & Development (Preferred)
- College Student seeking experience in Training & Development (Preferred)
