Camp River Run provides a 4-day summer camp at Hidden Paradise, Idaho designed for kids between ages 7-17 who are coping with life threatening illness or disabling/ongoing medical conditions. We want these children to experience nature and camping without compromising their medical needs. Camp River Run is committed to provide excellent support and care for our campers. Camp River Run also provides five 1-day camps in the Treasure Valley to help introduce parents to the incredible impact camp will have for them and the kids and to break the ice. Trained and skilled health care personnel are present at all camps. Those entrusting their children or loved ones to the awesome camps offered by Camp River Run, deserve the peace of mind and comfort in knowing that those special campers are being cared for by the best. Our volunteer health care staff is licensed according to their relative field and has been selected in accordance to needs of our campers. All of our staff and volunteers are CPR and First Aid certified. Twenty-four hour availability of health care and coordination for our campers’ needs is provided during summer camp. In addition, we tailor our volunteer duties to the specific needs of each of our campers. Information will be gathered during the application process, as well as one on one visits with camper and parent(s)/guardian(s) regarding individual needs.

Camp counselors will be trained in CPR/First Aid (if not already obtained) and be required to attend Training, and Meet and Greet (2-3 hours of mostly fun and little training) to meet their camper and introduce themselves to the camper and their parents or caretakers, and receive volunteer training.

A background check is required (at the expense of Camp River Run).

Must be 17, or older to attend as a counselor.

This is an overnight camp. 4 days and 3 nights in Fairfield, ID. Counselors will ride a charter bus to camp with their camper.

Day camps happen quarterly and volunteers are needed for each day camp as well. Day camps occur on a Saturday and run 10am-2pm.
