With summer just around the corner, make your summer a "Summer of Sevice" to remember! Take a look at our themes and PICK A WEEK OR TWO OR THREE to volunteer...
Week 1: June 13 th - 17 th
Under the Sea Week: What lurks beneath the surface? Starfish, whales, and all things fishy come out to play this week as we explore the beautiful, bizarre, and truly amazing things found in the deep blue sea.
Week 2: June 20 th - 24 th
Around the World Week - Travel the world in 5 days, without leaving Vista! Join us in exploring other countries’ traditions and learning about what makes each of our cultures unique.
Week 3: June 27 th -July 1st
Wild West Week: Saddle up, boys and girls! Join us as we explore the world for horses, ranchers, and gold this week.
Week 4 : July 5 th - 8th
Mythical World Week: Look out giants, wizards, and elves! Join us for a magical journey that will take us into the worlds of fairy tales. Who knows what we will find!
Week 5: July 11 th - 15 th
Galaxy Far Far Away Week : Blast off with us for an exciting week of outer space-themed fun! Rockets, planets, aliens and more await your child as we shoot for the stars and explore all things space related.
Week 6: July 18 th - 22 nd
Animal Planet Week - Lions and Tigers and Bears, oh my! Join us for a wild week of exploring the animals we share our world with.
Week 7: July 25 th - July 29 th
Mission Impossible Week : Calling all spies and mystery fans! Join us as we use observation skills, teamwork, and logic to solve BGVC mysteries.
Week 8: August 1 st - 5 th
Willy Wonka Week - Grab your golden ticket to enter the BGCV Imagination Station! Join us for a fun-filled week of pure imagination.
Week 9: August 8 th - 12 th
Survivor Week - Can you outwit, outlast, and outplay the other Club members? Join us for a week full of challenges that will test your brain and bran.

Description
Established in 1963, BGCV meets the needs of youth ages 5-18 regularly at five program sites serving youth residing primarily in Vista and Oceanside, California. BGCV is open "when kids need us most" - after school, on most school holidays and during the summer. BGCV offers safe places just for kids where they can learn, grow, and succeed.
Club programs help Club members build healthy habits for life and how to be resilient leaders through mentorship, accountability while developing a growth mindset.
Club programs include:
- Education: Career Launch, STEM, music and homework assistance and literacy practice
- Health and Wellness: health, fitness, prevention/education and self-esteem enhancement and a Children’s Food Garden
- Leadership and Service: leadership development opportunities for youth.
- Sports and Recreation: comprehensive sports and recreational fitness programs.
