ORGANIZATION: Green Door Thrift Shop

We have a page on St. Luke's Episcopal Church's website,
but we would like to explore establishing our own website that we update & maintain. We recognize there will be costs associated with this beyond the cost of having someone set it up for us.

About Green Door Thrift Shop

1030 Nacogdoches, San Antonio, TX 78209, US

Mission Statement

The Green Door supports organizations dedicated to charitable and humanitarian efforts using proceeds from the Green Door Thrift Shop sales. Organizations must have a mission and vision consistent with that of St. Luke’s and the Episcopal Church.

Get involved with the Green Door to make a difference in the world while connecting with your community. We sell clothing, housewares, furniture, jewelry, & many unexpected treasures. All inventory comes from donations & consignments. All profits go to charity through an annual application & review process. We have 2 paid employees & approximately 40 volunteers ranging in age from students to people in their 90's. We invite partnerships with local schools, scout & service organizations.

The Green Door began on April 13, 1953, as a ministry of the Women’s Auxiliary at 1813 Nacogdoches Road in a rented space with 10 volunteers. The present building was completed in 1958 at 1030 Nacogdoches Rd & expanded in 1965 to its current size.

2021 recipients received $114,450!
