Daily Expectation

Report to the Founder of Resilience.

Attend regular development meetings

Keep up to date on modern advancement in material and software technologies

Analyze data and situations to come up with creative solutions.

Utilize available databases of material property information to best select materials for product development

Improve upon existing prototype to increase efficiency

Contact manufacturing companies to form a future partnership

Learn about the patent application process

Requirements

No prior experience needed

Current enrollment or completion of a BS degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, or a related field preferred

CAD experience and knowledge of product development is a plus

Ability to communicate effectively with artists, designers, and other engineers

Ability to work independently

5 hours per week; 90 hour minimum commitment.

Flexible start and end dates.

Some educational institutions require prior approval before the start of an internship. It is the responsibility of the student to check with their institution to be sure they meet any requirements before they accept a position.

Mission: We will not stop until SEL is taught, trained, and tested at every school in the country. ___ Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) provides individuals with mental and emotional resilience, self-awareness, self-control, social awareness, strong relationship skills, goal setting skills, effective decision-making skills, motivation, inspiration, determination, empathy, gratitude, and many other impactful life skills. Our mission may take a decade or longer, and many believe it is extremely difficult, near impossible to change the field of education in this manner. Challenge accepted.
