In cooperation with Partners from all around the world Museum With No Frontiers (MWNF) has set up the 'Discover Islamic Art' Virtual Museum presenting history, art and cultural heritage from the Caliphal period until the present. 'Discover Islamic Art' includes, among others, a Database, a Permanent Collection and a series of Exhibitions. It is the largest online resource specifically dedicated to Islamic art and the only one offering access to curatorially accurate material from different countries. All descriptions are available in English and Arabic. The English texts are provided by our Partners, whereas the Arabic version is the result of a collective effort of a team of volunteer translators. Recently, because of personal reasons, two translators had to stop their involvement in MWNF. We are now looking for two new colleagues who have some time available, believe in what we do and ready to join the MWNF team as volunteer translators English to Arabic.
We don't request a pre-agreed work schedule and are very flexible regarding the organisation of the work. The name of the translator appears at the bottom of each database entry. What we request is being familiar with Islamic art and history and concrete experience as translator. This is crucial because the texts are difficult and each translator works on his/her own. If you are interested and if you think you could be a suitable candidate, please get in touch and describe your concrete experience and specific knowledge of Islamic art and history shortly.

Description
Museum With No Frontiers (MWNF) was founded in 1994. Since the beginning, the idea was to overcome any kind of conventional 'border' and to create an exhibition space where well-known and unknown, small and large, secure and insecure, rich and poor could not only coexist but would complement each other, generating mutual benefit for all concerned.
The MWNF program is built around two main activities: the MWNF Virtual Museum including different thematic sections and the MWNF travel guides, focusing on little known aspects of cultural heritage.
MWNF is an independent non-profit organization, relying mainly on volunteer resources. The legal seat is established in Vienna, Austria.
The network set up by MWNF includes public and private Partners from all around the world.
