Do you enjoy working with people and sharing your love of nature? Our Hosts/Hostesses serve as the Nature Center's front line representatives. They welcome our visitors, provide information, assist park naturalists with projects, and enjoy helping guests learn more about Wheaton Regional Park and Brookside Nature Center. This is a rewarding job for someone who likes to be helpful and learn more about the natural environment!

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Learn about our program offerings and park resources.
2. Greet visitors in a professional manner.
3. Answer visitor inquiries or direct them to appropriate staff.
4. Take messages for staff.
5. Answer telephone calls.
6. Help with office administrative work, computer work, and program/exhibit preparation.
7. Check people in for programs.

Potential hours:
Tuesday - Friday, 10am - 5pm;
Saturdays and Sundays, 1-5pm

Our agency is located just north of Washington D.C., and was originally created to protect the stream valleys around the D.C. area. We have grown into a 34,000 acre park system with over 400 local, urban and regional parks; recreation centers; ballfields; playgrounds; nature centers, a botanic garden and over 200 miles of trails.
