Purpose:

Reporting directly to the President and Executive Director, the Executive Assistant
provides executive support in a one-on-one working relationship. The Executive
Assistant serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies
on all matters pertaining to the President. The Executive Assistant also provides support
to the executive and senior management teams; organizes and coordinates executive
outreach and external relations efforts; and oversees special projects. The Executive
Assistant must be creative and enjoy working within a small, entrepreneurial
environment that is mission-driven, results-driven and community oriented. The ideal
individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with
strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and
the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The Executive
Assistant will have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to
completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety
of activities and confidential matters with discretion.

Supervisor:
This individual is to report directly to the President/Executive Director.

Executive Support
● Completes a broad variety of administrative tasks for the President and executive team
including: managing several active calendars of appointments; composing and preparing
correspondence that is sometimes confidential; arranging complex and detailed travel
plans, itineraries, and agendas; and compiling documents for travel- related meetings.
● Plans, coordinates and ensures the executive team’s schedules are followed and
respected. Provides a "gatekeeper" role, creating win-win situations for direct access to
the President's time.
● Communicates directly, and on behalf of the President and executive team, with Board
members, investors, partners, and others, on matters related to executive programmatic
initiatives.
● Provides a bridge for smooth communication between the executive team and external
contacts.
● Works closely and effectively with the President to keep him/her well informed of
upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately.
● Successfully completes critical aspects of deliverables with a hands-on approach,
including drafting
acknowledgement letters, personal correspondence, and other tasks that facilitate the
President's ability to effectively lead the company.
● Prioritizes conflicting needs; handles matters expeditiously, proactively, and
follows-through on projects to
successful completion, often with deadline pressures.

Administrative Support
● Assists in coordinating the agenda of executive and senior management team meetings
and off-sites.
● Answer main phone and relay messages for the President of the the organization
● Greet guests in a professional manner
● Assists in the planning and execution of officewide events such as ceremonies,
team-building initiatives, etc.

Note: Must be located in the United States of America, preferably in the Chicagoland area.

The Restoring.Our.Youth.Organization Inc.is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping the youth, teens, youth adults, and communities through our mission and vision. We believe that it is our duty and responsibility to render services to the communities by implementing restoration programs and development training to our youth, young adults, and communities. We will:

  • Empower our youth to "Think Big" in all that they say and do.
  • Meet the needs of the surrounding communities.
  • Ignite unity in every community.
  • Act as mentors and coaches for all of our members and the organization.
  • Help create and develop our future leaders.

The R.O.Y.Organization's servant journey has begun to target youth group ages 3-12, teens 13-19, young adults 21-25, and south suburban communities in the Chicagoland area. Our future goal is to reach all developing communities around the world.

It is our mission and vision to re-invent the wheel and restore the youth, and generations that have suffered from many past and present negative milestones to included deprivation of equality, economic success, and social justice.

Our team consists of professional leaders and concerned citizens who are charged up, and who are passionate about driving the R.O.Y.Organization's mission and vision. We pledge to make a positive change that will ignite togetherness, and develop leaders to be productive citizens of today, tomorrow, and generations to come.
