At Literacy Achieves, we are always excited to have volunteers join us in Changing Lives Through Literacy. If you would like to teach with us this summer, here are a few details listed below about our program and upcoming semester: Our Summer program will be in-person and online. Evening classes begin Tuesday, May 10th Morning classes begin Monday, June 6th
- Classes sizes are small (approximately 10 students or less)
- Volunteer Teachers are asked to commit at least 1 week during the summer, but arrangements can be made to accommodate our volunteers
- We will have a modified summer schedule. Daytime: Monday - Thursday, 9am | Evening: Tuesday and Thursday, 7pm
- The classes are 1.5 - 2 hours in length (in-person and online)
- Training and materials are provided.

- Tue May 10, 2022 - morning / 09:00 AM to 11:00 AM

The mission of Literacy Achieves is to equip non-English speaking adults and their young children with English literacy and life skills to promote self-sufficiency and the overall well-being of our students, their families and the greater community.
Description
At Literacy Achieves, more than 300 compassionate and committed volunteer teachers teach all the ESL classes, giving close to 1,100 students much needed support and encouragement, while developing mutual respect and understanding for one another through a common purpose of learning English.
We understand the difficulty many non-native English speakers have in finding the time, transportation, childcare or money they need in order to attend English language classes. Our programs are effective because we remove these barriers by providing:

- Access to Quality Early Childhood Programs
- Classes Free of Charge, yet Accountability Driven
- A Structured Program Approach with Multiple Levels Offered Through Daily Classes
