We are seeking an accounting volunteer for Quickbooks data-entry. Job duties require accounting tasks related to the maintenance and processing of financials for a small 501(c)(3) organization.
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Weekly posting of donation receipts/bank deposits.
- Processing payables
- Post donations
- Resolving account discrepancies
- Verification and data entry
- Journal entries - monthly and as needed
- Assist in preparing and processing reports - daily, monthly and period ending
- Filing and other clerical duties as needed
- Reconciling bank statements
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Strong knowledge of Quickbooks required
- Understanding of accounting practices and principles
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent computer skills
- Ability to apply discretion and trust with confidential material
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial data
- Ability to effectively apply analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent time managing skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines
