ORGANIZATION: Centura Hospice - Porter Hospice Residence & Home Hospice

Centura Hospice is seeking volunteers to join our Interdisciplinary team of nurses, aides, social workers, and chaplains, serving patients at Porter Hospice Residence. Joining this team could be the most rewarding and life-changing experience of your life.

Volunteers support hospice by providing a mix of reception tasks and patient support, including

  • Admitting and guiding visitors
  • Answering the telephone
  • Visiting with patients
  • Responding to call lights
  • Supporting families

Comprehensive training is provided at no cost to ensure you feel confident in your ability to help.
Covid19 vaccinations required to work in this program.

  • 12:15 PM to 04:00 PM
    4 HOUR SHIFTS: 8A-12P, 12P-4P, 4P-8P, 7P-10P, EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK

Centura Hospice provide service to patients with terminal or life-threatening illness and their families. We have volunteer opportunities at our in-patient facility, and in our home program.
