Do you speak Bulgarian? Our Money Management volunteer program is looking for someone who translate between Bulgarian and English. If you'd like to be a Money Management volunteer, all the better!

Make a difference in the life of an older neighbor in Somerville or Cambridge by enabling them to continue to live independently. Assist one of our clients by making sure the bills are paid on time. This volunteer position is primarily responsible for helping a client organize and pay bills, balance the check book, and develop a household budget so they can live within their means.
This is a great opportunity for those who enjoy helping older adults and have 2-4 hours per month to make home visits. The flexible scheduling is great for those with daytime commitments.
Time: The two to four hours a month can be scheduled based on your availability. We're looking for volunteers who plan to stay with the program for at least a year.
Somerville-Cambridge Elder Services requires staff and volunteers to be vaccinated against COVID-19, and to have received a booster.
Requirements: Skills needed: Can you balance a checkbook and create a monthly budget? Perfect!
