Summary:

CLUES' Administrative department is recruiting a Volunteer Services Intern to assist the VS team with administrative duties, event planning & support, outreach, and more.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday ( 9am - 5pm)

Minimum Time Commitment: 5-10 hours per week.

Type of Internship: Unpaid internship / In person & remote

Responsibilities:

As the Volunteer Services Intern you will:

* Assist Volunteer Program Coordinator in maintaining our online volunteer management database

* Assess and improve existing systems for tracking volunteers and evaluating volunteer program impact.

* Collaborate with Volunteer Program Coordinator and Communications & Events Manager to develop a social media plan to recruit and engage volunteers and plan the first annual Volunteer Recognition Event.

* Research trends in volunteerism

* Create an organization-wide volunteer intake/orientation process and materials, including: A recurring volunteer orientation for all CLUES volunteers (not meant to replace department-specific trainings); Flowchart or other tool to communicate volunteer intake process both internally and externally.

* Maintain and publicize volunteer opportunity descriptions for each volunteer assignment.

* Process volunteer/intern intake and termination paperwork.

* Assist in maintenance of accurate volunteer records.

Qualifications:

* Applicants should be students majoring in Business, Management, Human Resources Management, Statistics, Non-Profit Management, or other related fields (junior-level or higher).

* A strong attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and excellent communication skills are essential to this position.

* Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills in English. Spanish preferred.

* Strong knowledge of computers and familiarity with Microsoft Excel required.

With offices in Minneapolis and Saint Paul, its current mission is to "Improve the quality of life of Latinos in Minnesota".
