We are holding an artist residency with 10 professional artists at 2 City of Decatur Schools in May. We need all the help we can get supporting artists, supporting students learning new skills, taking mini walking field trips, and monitoring creative amazingness! Artists will teach 3rd-grade and 5th-grade classes. In the end, students from both schools will contribute some of their pieces to create one large collective work of art. Support our artists in May by volunteering for sessions!

About PAINT LOVE INC

Location:

500 S Columbia Dr, Decatur, GA 30030, US

Mission Statement

Paint provides extraordinary arts programming to empower youth and strengthen communities.

Description

We envision a world where all young people have access to creative experiences that empower them to imagine a future not limited by adverse experience. Art is our vehicle, but the soul of our work is showing children that their voice matters, their ideas are important, and their actions can make a difference in shaping the future. We partner with educational and nonprofit organizations to engage youth, through projects that are artist-led, to empower conversations guided by trauma-informed standards.
