Volunteer Mediators are needed to assist the local court programs with small claims dockets. Volunteers would received free mediation training (either virtual, in-person or hybrid). Virtual training allows volunteers to train at their own pace. In-person training is at least 2 day training .
Mediator trainees will attend small claims dockets (or special set civil matters) and help parties come to an agreement prior to a trial. Currently we see several landlord/tenant cases as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
