*This is a one year service term as a full-time AmeriCorps VISTA Member beginning July 5, 2022
Member Duties : Expand access to Wise Wonders' STEAM education programs and create paths for economically disadvantaged students to develop crucial skills that improve educational outcomes! The overall goal of the project is to improve academic engagement among low-income students and to promote the culture of learning and discovery that inspires young Montanans to pursue higher education and potential careers in STEAM fields. The VISTAs will: develop new volunteer recruitment and training strategies; expand and promote new STEAM exhibits and scholarship opportunities to increase community awareness / engagement; assist in the creation of a capital campaign and donor engagement programs to ensure sustainability of STEAM programs; and develop an outreach program in collaboration with local colleges, schools, and other independent school districts to provide STEAM programming in alignment with the Montana Education Standard.
