ORGANIZATION: Billings-Metro VISTA Project
*This is a one year service term as a full-time AmeriCorps VISTA Member beginning July 5, 2022
Member Duties : Expand safe and easy access to schools, work, recreation, health care, and food through non-motorized travel with Billings TrailNet! The overall goal of this project is to provide easy access to work, school, essentials, and recreation by expanding non-motorized transportation routes and recreate sites for Billings’ underserved neighborhoods. The VISTA will: develop a comprehensive needs assessment of existing inequities in the Billings trails, parks, and safe routes system; design and implement a communications and marketing plan to increase community awareness of trails / bikeways; and develop a platform for Billings community members to access non-motorized trail resources.
