Bristol Hospice is proud to have a very active We Honor Veterans program! We work with veterans on our hospice service and the community! Veteran cafe's allow a place for veterans to gather and chat while others may enjoy calling or sending cards to veterans. There are numerous workshops and other training we provide to all. Our big event is held in March on Magic Island, Honolulu where we honor veterans. It is a huge event that is an amazing experience!
There are so many potential opportunities for this program! If you dream it, let's do it!
There are two types of volunteers and, yes, you can be both! And YES... teen members of ROTC are welcomed to join us!
Hospice Volunteer - You are trained to work with veterans on service and be part of their end-of-life journey.
Veteran-to-Veteran Volunteer - Here, you will work with the community. This year we have joined with IHS in providing volunteer services, etc. to homeless veterans. The need is great.
