Overview
This is a pro-bono volunteer position.
JerseySTEM partners with corporations interested in supporting STEM education for underserved middle school girls in New Jersey. The Sponsorship opportunities include a variety of offerings:
- Sponsoring a School program (offering #1)
- Hosting a Field trip (offering #2)
- Providing a Speaker (offering #3)
- Providing Mentors (offering #4)
- etc...
The Corporate Sponsorship Product Development Lead oversees a team of product managers in charge of:
- conducting/commissioning market research,
- designing product features and benefits
- testing
- developing product collateral and pitch deck
for JerseySTEM's offerings (see above) targeting Corporate Sponsors.
This role will report into the Head of Corporate Engagement and will work cross-functionally with various department leads and board members.
Responsibilities
- Manage the weekly team meeting
- Lead team of product managers to develop products to be pitched to potential and current corporate sponsors
- Maintains the JerseySTEM brand voice for the Corporate Audience
- Recruits and manages Product Managers
- Owns the historical documentation of Brand Marketing processes, roles and responsibilities
- Direct graphic teammates on designing selling materials (decks, pamphlets, web pages) to represent JerseySTEM’s corporate sponsorship products
- Interface with key JerseySTEM board member to report back on status
Qualifications
- Experience with fundraising or donation-driven marketing campaigns
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Self-motivated, proactive
- Excels at cross-functional collaboration
- Experience working within G-Suite, Slack and JIRA preferred
Time Commitment
- 5 Hours weekly
- 6 months minimum

Mission Statement
JerseySTEM is a grassroots 501(c) nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math ("STEM") education to girls grade 5-8 from underserved communities in New Jersey. We partner with socially responsible companies and their employees, youth organizations in underserved communities, and civic-minded college students and universities. Together we develop and deliver innovative, hands-on, and online afterschool projects and inquiry-based learning opportunities that develop teamwork, 21st-century problem-solving skills, and self-esteem.
Description
Incorporated in 2013, JerseySTEM started bringing afterschool enrichment programs to middle school girls in 2015.
We have since provided 1,000 students with exposure to afterschool enrichment programs delivering more than 20,000 hours of instruction. Students learn to code, build robots, solve problems and through that process gain self-esteem and confidence that they can be the leaders of tomorrow.
