We need volunteers to check the flags periodically to make sure that they are firmly attached to the pole and not curled up.
Creating an awe-inspiring panorama, United States flags will fly in a solemn formation at Veterans Memorial Park during June of 2022. This stirring display of 500 flags will bring the community together in a patriotic tribute to honor our heroes. Each U.S. flag represents an individual and tells a story. Flags may be sponsored to honor fall servicemen & women and Vietnam veterans. This unique event is the perfect opportunity for all of us to remember and honor our many heroes.
The Stars & Stripes reminds us of who we are as a people. Americans meet the challenges of history and overcome hardships becoming stronger. That is just who we are. The United States flag represents our solidarity in creating a brighter tomorrow and uniting us all.
"Vietnam Veterans" is the perfect theme for the inaugural Healing Field(r) display hosted by The Exchange Club of Norwalk.
This moving display is a gift to the community made possible through donations, sponsorships and the efforts of many dedicated volunteers. You can show your support and gratitude by sponsoring a flag or making a donation.
This is an experience hard to describe, but never to be forgotten. We invite all to visit the Norwalk Healing Field(r) patriotic display and walk with us among the posted flags. Additionally, the display will raise funds for The Exchange Club of Norwalk.
The display is open to all without charge. Don’t miss it!
About Norwalk Exchange Club
150 Connecticut Avenue, Norwalk, CT 06854, US
The Norwalk Exchange Club is about people helping people in the belief that hope for tomorrow happens today. We are about giving back a little of ourselves to our community. We are about growing within ourselves through our efforts to help others. We are about developing close personal relationships with newly found friends. We come together in order to eliminate child abuse in all forms, to foster the health and growth of a strong family unit, to promote Americanism, to strengthen the education of our children and to give ourselves in service to our community. Our Membership is open to anyone who is willing to accept these goals as their own.
Norwalk Exchange Club Core Values Each member of Exchange holds near to their heart three core values - Family, Community and Country.
Commitment to Family is interpreted not only as one’s own family needs, but also those of all American families. Strengthening families, with a focus on youth, is addressed in many ways through Exchange’s Programs of Service.
Commitment to the Community where an Exchangite resides is the focal point for each club’s efforts. Exchange is unique as a service organization in that it has the flexibility to structure projects that target the specific needs of a particular geographic location, rather than being restricted to a certain cause.
Commitment to Country was born in the aftermath of World War II, a time of unquenchable patriotism. Exchangites are proud to join veterans and other civic groups in promoting Americanism as the rich blessing of democracy and freedom, and in educating today’s youth to cherish its values. These three values are translated into actions every day to bring about positive results through the work of hundreds of clubs and tens of thousands of dedicated Exchange Club members every day.
