Help people complete Community Service hours - Boulder County Community Justice Services seeks volunteers or interns to connect clients who are required to perform community service with organizations in the community needing helping hands.
Case management includes meeting with clients to match their skills with nonprofit community-based programs. Monitor caseload and hours of clients, update computer records, complete paperwork upon completion. Work closely with CS staff, the courts, Probation and get to know your community organizations. Background check and fingerprinting required. Min. age 21. Commitment is at least 9 months. 8-24 hours per week flexible, Monday - Friday in person at Boulder Justice Center or Longmont Courthouse.

To ensure that residents have opportunities for meaningful and effective engagement in local government operations, professional standards in volunteer management are accepted as the guidelines for best practices.


We recruit and place volunteers and interns in a variety of volunteer positions for Community Justice Services and the District Attorney's (20th Judicial) office in Boulder County . Volunteers play a vital role in enhancing services to crime victims and juvenile and adult offenders. Our volunteer partners are essential in helping us maintain an open and responsive criminal justice system.
What Do Volunteers Do?
Provide support and information to crime victims and witnesses
Be a mentor to high-risk youth who need extra attention
Help people with consumer fraud complaints
Assist with research/data entry on incarceration rates and program outcomes
Teach ESL, HSE and life skills classes to incarcerated community members
