We have Volunteering opportunities available that have flexible shifts, weekdays and weekends. We are looking for compassionate, peaceful, caring individuals who want to share their time and hearts with others. Our volunteers sit with patients and keep them company, ease the loneliness they feel at times. Volunteers will read to patients, help with activities they are interested in, play music. Volunteers can help patients write cards for loved ones or help send cards out during the holidays. Some Volunteers sit with patients while families leave to get a break. We have 11th hour / vigil volunteers who site with patients in their last moments of life.
We can offer Volunteer opportunities for Nursing school students, Medical school students looking for Volunteer hours and for anyone who qualifies 18 years and older. We have several needs for volunteers during the week days mostly and weekends, there are certainly needs any day! We require volunteers to have your own reliable transportation, We require a background check and Drug tests. TB tests are required as well along with valid driver's license. We support our volunteers and appreciate the important rolse they play in hospice care. we prepare volunteers with specific training. Volunteering takes no advanced medical training or great commitment. All hospice volunteers are given assignments that best suit their time, skills and interests. YOU BELONG HERE.
