- meet new people?
We’re looking for friendly people to make a difference today!
Hearts and Hands matches caring, reliable volunteers with older community members who have essential needs like transportation, to ensure they can continue living independently.
You can help a senior remain independent by spending two hours a month providing them a ride to their medical appointment, grocery store, or to run errands.
Transportation volunteers spend time with a neighbor having friendly conversation while helping them get to appointments. Time spent helps your neighbor to feel less lonely and isolated.
We make volunteering easy!

Description
Hearts and Hands is a non-profit organization that matches caring, reliable volunteers with older community members who have essential needs, like transportation, to ensure that they can continue living independently. The organization, founded in 2003, provides services to underserved areas in Western New York. Our program is a best efforts and no charge delivery of services.
Our focus is on services that enhance nutritional status, foster socialization, increase physical activity, and provide access to medical, dental and other health services. If we cannot provide a requested service, we will refer that request to an agency that is able to meet the need. We work closely with the Alzheimer Association, Meals on Wheels, the Erie Co. Dept. of Senior Services, the local first responders and other area service providers. Currently, the organization serves Erie and Eastern Niagara Counties.
