Are you a compassionate and gracious individual who finds joy in listening to family stories? If so, we have an incredible volunteer opportunity for you at the Ronald McDonald Family Room, located within the serene Studer Family Children's Hospital.
As a volunteer in our Family Room, you will play a crucial role in creating a peaceful retreat for families during their time at the hospital. Your warm welcome and attentive service will make a lasting impact on their experience. Additionally, you will perform light administrative functions and operational tasks to ensure that our Family Room remains clean and serene, providing a comforting environment for families.
By joining our team of dedicated volunteers, you will have the chance to make a genuine difference in the lives of families facing challenging times. Your presence and support will create a nurturing space where families can find solace and respite amidst their hospital journey.
To participate, we kindly request that volunteers commit to one shift per week. This regular commitment allows us to provide continuity and reliability for the families we serve.
Please note that volunteers interested in the Family Room must also complete the Children's Hospital volunteer process. This additional step ensures that all volunteers meet the necessary requirements and are fully equipped to provide the highest level of care and support.

The mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Florida is to love and support families of children with medical needs by giving them a place to call home. We believe when families are together, they cope better. We believe no family should have to deal with their child’s medical crisis alone. And that was the beginning of our unique role as a children’s charity, enabling, supporting, and facilitating family-centered care.
Description
Ronald McDonald House Charities, a non-profit, 501 (c) (3) corporation, creates, finds and supports programs that directly improve the health and well being of children. Its grassroots-driven programs offer help where children need it most - right in their own communities. RMHC makes an immediate, positive impact on children's lives through its global network of local Chapters in 52 countries and regions and its three core programs: the Ronald McDonald House, Ronald McDonald Family Room and Ronald McDonald Care Mobile. These programs provide a bridge to accessible health care and allow families more time together, which helps in the healing process. RMHC and its global network of local Chapters also have hundreds of millions of dollars in grants and program services to children's programs around the world.
