Title: Comfort Companion Volunteer Description: Looking to do something meaningful? Consider building rewarding relationships with local hospice patients. Careline Health Group is looking for compassionate individuals willing to donate their time to provide exceptional end-of-life care to these patients as well as their families. As a Comfort Companion Volunteer, you will visit patients in local nursing facilities and/or their private residence. You will provide companionship, play cards/games, watch TV, read books and so much more. The Greatest Generation has given us so much. By giving the gift of time, you will make a special impact in the lives of those facing life’s final journey. If you are a good listener, non-judgmental, adaptable and have a strong desire to reach out with love and concern for others become a Comfort Compaion Volunteer today! Careline Health Group provides quality care anywhere our patients reside. The hospice team, led by a dedicated RN case manager and overseen by a physician, helps our patients and their family make informed decisions about care choices and options.
Hospice Volunteers make valuable contributions to all service areas and are truly the heart of Careline Hospice. Our Volunteer Program provides an integrated and comprehensive system of volunteer programs that enhance and augment the services of hospice staff.
- Clerical Support - bulk mail preparation, creating admission packets and much more
- Companion Care - providing companionship to patients and respite to their family in the home.
- Bereavement Services - providing emotional support to family members or friends for 13 months following a patient’s death.
- Spiritual Care - providing spiritual and emotional support to patients and families.
