Help us Build a Stronger Community Through Youth Mentoring!
Kids 'n Kinship is a non-profit youth mentoring program in Dakota County providing mentoring friendships to children and teens (ages 5-16) needing an additional positive adult role model. **WE ARE LOOKING FOR A SPANISH SPEAKING ADULT MALE TO MENTOR A BI-LINGUAL YOUTH.**
We seek individuals (21+), couples, or families to spend an hour or two a week offering guidance & fun to a youth in our community. Volunteers meet with their mentee approximately once per week and we ask for a minimum 1 year commitment to the program. We encourage low-cost activities that include the youth in your everyday life like playing catch, walking the dog, playing board games, making dinner, baking cookies, going to the library, sports, gardening, or exploring new adventures.
We provide training, free and reduced passes to area attractions, and ongoing support. This is a great way to spend time with a child or teenager and make a meaningful impact in their life.
"My son has never been one to look to the future but he is now." - Parent of a mentee
"Mentoring has been a blast; I don't know why I waited so long to get involved!" - Mentor
