Academic Mentor

Academic Mentor is a mix of tutoring and mentoring!

• Are you interested in tutoring children in under-resourced areas? Since 2012 I'RAISE Inc. has been providing free tutoring services to children might not be getting educational resources. Our goal is to see all children do well in school and get assistant with subjects that they are struggling to understand or wish to improve on.
• Our Academic mentors help children with college readiness, career readiness, boosting self-confidence and self-esteem, emotional support, achieve personal growth and learn more about themselves. Our mentors are making a difference in their mentee's life and I'RAISE hopes to keep continuing our Free Mentoring service.
• I'RAISE Inc. connects caring adults with a youth that can benefit from them. We strive to provide resources to under-resources areas in the United States through various free education services including mentoring.
• Subjects to choose from for Academic Mentor: Match, Science, Reading, Writing, English Language Arts, Social Science, resume preparation, and more!
• Flexible time! Academic Mentor and the mentee will decide together.
• Location options: Virtual, In-person, Hybrid
• Qualifications: Must have excellent communication, planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills. Must be above 21 years old.
• Must provide: Two professional or academic references for reference checking

Note: Volunteers are only accepted to our volunteer program after a successful background check clearance and reference checking. Cost for background check not covered by our non-profit organization.
