GRAPHIC DESIGNER

We are looking for a professional Graphic Designer who will help our organization with creating thoughtful marketing initiatives to promote our growing non-profit organization.

Current Project: I'RAISE is hosting a gathering that will bring together partners and funders to discuss the youth mental health crises in New York City and the ways in which I'RAISE has continued to address this crisis throughout the pandemic. The Graphic Designer volunteer will put together robust marketing designs to reveal the organization’s impact. And, help establish I’RAISE Girls & Boys International Corporation as a major non-profit organization within New York City.

Youth in New York City's mental health has declined since the COVID-19 pandemic. I'RAISE has been boots on the ground daily providing mental health support to vulnerable children in public schools throughout the pandemic. This project is important because it will enable I'RAISE to amplify its message to stakeholders and communicate our impact.

We have a full team of board of directors and the executive team and a small marketing team who has been working actively on this project. We have prepared a folder for the Graphic Designer volunteer with program impact and reports and written content to review and build upon.

Responsibilities:

• Create flyers and programs for agency meetings and events
• Design new brochures and presentation slides to promote new and existing programs
• Updating existing forms and/or designing new forms for internal agency use
• Draft branding guidelines to encourage consistent usage of the I’RAISE logo and wordmark across the agency

Requirements:

• Strong design skills
• Able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and meet established deadlines
• BFA or BA degree preferred
• Knowledge of social media platforms preferred
• 2-3 years of previous experience as a graphic designer preferred
• Access to design software necessary to complete assigned projects
• Copywriting experience a plus
